Outdoor Familly Portrait Shooting

IM BACK!!... this time posting portraits of wedding models... uhurm... not Exactly models, but they surely do have talents to be models... (urm, let me see^^,). The shooting took place at Kundasang War Memorial Garden, normal visitors will have to pay rm2 and foreign tourist rm10 while wedding brides who plan to shoot at this place rm10 each couple.

I actually do have other pictures which i really want to share with everyone, but for the meantime, i'll just post this first. i will keep it updated but maybe perhaps next week since this week i am a bit busy and can't really spend time preparing pictures for my blog.
Oh, anyway.. this wedding gowns are the ones rented from my friends bridal house located in Kota Marudu, so if you have or plan to get married in Kota Marudu, then do know that these gowns are available for you (^^,)blink2

My Lunch Break... with something common

After posting an EMPTY bowl with no food, now i can have my break and fill my tummy. people i meet has noticed i reduced in weight (I'm not chubby... hello..~)... they say "aiya Frisco, why you look so thin now?" or "eh, ko kurus suda oh kan?~"... duh~ i wanted to gain some weight but no matter how HARD i try, eating much... it just doesn't seem right. So? my final solution was to get the weight gain by Appeton and see if it works for me... so far i haven't tried it.. but soon, i will... hehehe.. So what about this food? urm, I'm hungry lah.. have been working out with a familly in taking their family portrait in Kundasang War Memorial yesterday-sunday, and these was what i took for lunch... awrgh... not just this a... i oso ordered Soto Ayam, (which the chicken didn't taste that yummy, and i prefer soto tuaran... ) and Milo Ping"""(my ol'time fav)...

talking about Drinks... my fav is fruit juice... i like sweet fruitjuice... Kit Chai Ping is also one fav drink... others? well i dont prefer Coffee or Tea (chinese tea-sometimes)... and also carbonated drinks.... and if you drink any of these drinks in the morning... well i usually just have a glass of PLAIN water... duno why, i just love plain water in the morn....

Still Life Photography

This shoot was taken with my kitlens 18-55mm at 3.5 wide aperture opening. it seems like it works quite well in blurring the subject, but i believe steping down from 2.8 to 1.4 can increase depth of field well enough.(picture taken at SDA Retreat Centre Kundasang, without tripod, macro lens or reflector)

Shoots like this are really easy (for the amateur and pro levels) since the subject-flowers aren't moving. But when theres strong wind then you might need to wait till it stills. The most important consideration is not your lens, but how you plan to compose the picture. Applying the rule of third will work sometimes, but still it doesn't apply to all photo's. Therefore you need to be patient and imaginative to create something great.

Bina Insan Guru- BIG Borneo Paradise Eco Farm Resort

Welcome to Borneo Paradise Eco Farm Resort, Lahad Datu Sabah... This is my first time to step this place. We were here to participate in the Teachership Attitude Development Programe which 'maktab' students use to call as "BIG" or Program Bina Insan Guru.

We had kayaking, hiking and abseiling as part of our activities besides having tutorials in group activity forms. The camp was challanging for some but for those who are fit on the going, its just another vacation trip for them.Unfortunately i couldn't post for you the shots taken while we were kayaking, i just fear my camera will get wet... and damaged... argh, there were others who help record the moment but the pictures haven't been handed to me, so this are only some photos of the scene which i manage to capture for you guys...
The landscape isn't that outstanding compared to other well maintained travel destination, but if you're a fishing fan, with those fishing rod, bait and box ready, this spot is surely a great spot for fishers lovers...

Wild and rare creatures are perhaps another good point of attraction for why you should be here. During our camp, i did spot a few rare birds, the red nosed Bayau (scientific name forgoten), and this fishy thing with legs... hey, you know what creature is that? do buzz me if you do, its like a fish, but can live above waters, it has gill, and legs too, just like amphibians but isn't it a fish... rare, wierd yet true...
The view of our camp... close view are guy's camps, the ones to the far end at the background are the girl"s camps... we slept on flat but stoney ground and its really hard to sleep, but when youre damn tired, you wont mind much about comfort...
view from the jetty, this is where we start kayaking out to the sea.
Okay, this is another technique called Framing your subject with another subject in the foreground. i purposedly used the flowers to add sense of depht and scale of the subject, it also acts in hiding unwanted objects or sections of the subject to be included into the picture. photographing the bus alone will make ur picture looks dull, so add some contrast, variance... (i learnt this from famous photographers book from the library, trust me, this is not mere empty bluff...) hehehehehe
Pink in contrast with the grey-brown wood pole as the background. focus is on the flower.... erm, reminds me of the pinky sakura leaves la...

Times Square and Pudu

This was a shoot taken using just my Digital Compact... again, i would like to stress out to everyone... who says a digital compact couldn't give you good result... But ofcourse for the professionals, you will notive that this shot isn't the original one, surely i did some image tweaking in Photoshop... and to name the technique-HDR that stands out as Hyper Dynamic Range... urm, i don't want to talk much about it, all i can say is play with layers, brush... it doesnt matter if its a single image, or you have a sequence of multiple exposure image... whatever.... all you do is add layers and brush it out...
You can see the colors stand out more than ussual.. saturation, details... yeep... and the location? above is the famous shopping mall in Malaysia- Times Square and bellow is the view of the old-old historical Pudu Human Cage... a.k.a panjara... heheheh... picture taken at Hang Tuah train station....

Elegant and Stylish Commercial Photography

Elegant and stylish, this shot was taken at Midvalley-KL while window shooping. it was near 10pm and most shop are closing down. I am myself tired and wanted to close my footstep. But just as i was about to step out the mall, i saw this well arranged-lighted-placed showcase section (i just don't know what to call it, lets just say its the place to show the jewels and necklace... bla2 lah)... And without hesitation, i took my compact digital cam and begin finding some nice angle...

I think people were wondering what the hell i was about doing with all those bending, kneeling... as there was NOTHING portrayed. I just ignored them and thinked that every artist would be thought as crazy at first, but once their art is developed, they are praised for it-forgetting the nonsense made before... So ok, i took this few photos and now im sharing it with you...

Black, blue, grey and white... the lighting effects does make it seems like ive taken this in my own mini studio-but i didn't... this was just something taken in the streets-(mall exactly).
I always give advice, hehehe so for those who wants to improve their photography skills... always bring along your camera, shoot anything at different angles to get a good perspective of the subject, dont bother people around you... get your freedom in photography and.... get improved...

Sight Seeing at University Islam Antarabangsa

The design of the buildings really resemble, depicts, portrays, explain, describe the Islamic culture... i really was impressed...
Phew, the library is grand too... like ussual.. Urm, am i walking in the streets of Turkey? i wonder if i over teleport to Istanbul...

Street photography into practice... again...

Hey, they have a complete set of tennis court, and others as well...

Our Carnival was held here, really wonderful place to stay....
